Il Tosca Café, bar icona nel  North Beach che recentemente ha ricevuto un avviso di sfratto conseguenza di una controversia legale con il padrone di casa, ha un nuovo proprietario. Arrivano i tre moschettieri della ristorazione americana, i tre famosi ristoranti il Spotted

Pig, Breslin Bar & Dining room e il John Dory Oyster Bar — hanno firmato un contratto di locazione di 10 anni assumendone la proprietà. Alle redini della cucina la magnifica April Bloomfield, chef stellatissima, è sia executive chef chee co-proprietario. Secondo Matthew Holmes di Retail West, che ha mediato l'affare, i nuovi proprietari vogliono preservare il ristorante come Tosca. Tuttavia, fanno alcune ristrutturazioni necessarie all’incremento che intendono apportare.

Tosca Café, the iconic North Beach bar that recently received an eviction notice stemming from an ongoing legal dispute with its landlord, has a new owner.

A group behind three popular restaurants out of New York City — the Spotted Pig, the Breslin Bar & Dining Room and the John Dory Oyster Bar — signed a 10-year lease to take over the property last month. Michelin-starred chef April Bloomfield is the executive chef and co-owner.

According to Retail West’s Matthew Holmes, who brokered the deal, the new owners want to preserve the restaurant as Tosca. However, they will make some much-needed renovations, including expanding the dining area.

“I think they’ll really bring Tosca back to its heyday,” said Holmes. “This will be another strong revitalization effort for the neighborhood, which is in need of it.”
